BreakIT does not charge to become a member at this time. We believe cost should never be a barrier to building a better future, and we are committed to making our incubator accessible to anyone who needs it. We do however appreciate when a client can contribute what they can once they become successful as a way to 'pay it forward'. In addition, we do accept donations, contributions and sponsorships as we are a 501c3 not-for-profit organization.

Time commitment depends on your goals and the program you join. For example, our 10-week cohort meets weekly, while drop-in services or 1:1 mentoring may be more flexible. We work with your schedule.
We don’t provide direct funding at this time, but we do help you access grants, low-interest loans, and other funding opportunities. We’ll also help you get business-ready so that funders take your idea seriously.

Yes. We like to sign an NDA with all new clients, so you never have to worry. We understand that progress occurs at the speed of trust and that trust is earned. We want to ensure everyone feels safe and protected.
There isn't one, we reject no one! We prioritize people who have been system-impacted and/or identify as LGBTQ+ or other under resourced populations. After you apply, we’ll do a short interview to understand your goals, then determine which of our services best fits your needs. We try to say yes as often as possible.

Nope! You can join with just an idea, or even the desire to find one. We support people at all stages—just bring your curiosity and commitment.
We are currently hybrid. Most of our mentorship and workshops can be done virtually, while community events and some cohort programs take place in-person in the Pittsburgh area.
Yes. We partner with trauma-informed wellness professionals and organizations that offer therapy, peer support, healing circles, and holistic care. Wellness is a core part of how we do business.

Yes. We help you identify funding opportunities, prepare applications, and connect with trusted lenders and grant programs. We also help you get “pitch ready” to attract support.

We accept donations via cash, check, or via our online donation link/form which accepts credit & debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Google Pay, ACH, etc .
